Inside Line Promotions – OWASSO, Okla. (Jan. 13, 2015) – TBJ Promotions has a trio of marquee events on its slate in 2015.
All three races will feature the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour and will be in the month of May, kicking off with the 7th edition of the Eagle Motorsports Rock ‘N Roll 50 at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Ark., on Saturday, May 2.
“The Eagle Motorsports Rock ‘N Roll 50 has been a part of my promoting career since the start,” said Tony Bruce Jr., who founded TBJ Promotions seven years ago. “It’s an annual event where fans know that each year they will see a racy track and several drivers duking it out for the custom guitar trophy.”
The second event of the year is the McCarthy Auto Group KC Klassic on Thursday, May 7, at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan. That race is co-promoted by Scott Traylor of RacinBoys.
“There is a huge tradition of sprint car racing in the Kansas City area,” Bruce Jr. said. “Some of the greats cut their teeth racing in that region and we always look forward to returning there.”
This year’s KC Klassic will also fall the day before NASCAR weekend gets started in the Kansas City area.
“Tony and I were really disappointed when we had to cancel the 1st annual McCarthy Auto Group KC Klassic last year due to the threat of some really nasty weather,” Traylor said. “I know we are looking forward to showcasing the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour and Lakeside Speedway to many of the NASCAR fans who will be visiting Kansas Speedway for the Saturday night Sprint Cup race.”
The famed Hinchman Racewear Eagle Nationals, which dates back to 1981, will wrap up the slate for TBJ Promotions in 2015 on Saturday, May 30, at Eagle Raceway in Eagle, Neb.
“The Hinchman Racewear Eagle Nationals has been a staple event of sprint car racing for decades,” Bruce Jr. said. “I’m thrilled to have that as part of my schedule and that we will return to Eagle Raceway, where drivers have to be up on the wheel all night long. If you like side-by-side racing and slide jobs, the Eagle Nationals is the destination.”
