Every point counts, and the Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders have been putting it to the test as of late. There has been a different point leader heading into the last three races, and right now it is “Flyin’” Ryan Jamison’s turn to sit atop the heap. This Saturday, the battle continues at the ½ mile oval in West Liberty, Iowa in a make-up race from July 4!
Jamison leads by one whole point over “The Lil’ Dude” Bobby Mincer. Matt Rogerson sits in third, a mere ten points behind the leader. Jamison took advantage of separate incidents involving Mincer and Rogerson in last Saturday’s second of “Twin Features” at the 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa.
Jimmy Davies still sits in fourth, ahead of impressive rookies CJ Houseman and his brother, “The Hit Man” Mike Houseman Jr. CJ picked up the first win of his career last Friday night at the Morgan County Speedway in Jacksonville, Illinois. Russ Hall, Matt Harms, Ben Wagoner and “Showtime” Kaley Gharst round out the top ten in driver standings.
This will be the fourth career appearance in four consecutive years for the Sprint Invaders at the West Liberty Raceway. Past winners include Jesse Giannetto (2006), Jerrod Hull (2007) and Josh Schneiderman (2008). Will there be another new winner?
There is plenty of racing left for the Sprint Invaders, as the West Liberty Raceway will host the tenth of sixteen events for the Sprint Invaders in 2009.
