CRSA SPRINT SERIES INVADES FIVE MILE POINT SPEEDWAY SATURDAY

Kirkwood, NY...After a weekend off, the CRSA Sprint Tour returns to action at the tight "Quarter Mile" at Five Mile Point in Kirkwood, New York. The teams of the traveling CRSA Tour will be making their first of three visits to the speedway in 2015. The race will be part of the Southern Tier Challenge, a mini- series between Five Mile Point, Penn Can Speedway, and Orange County Fair Speedway.

The early season has produced five different winners at the six races held. Scott Goodrich is the only driver to win two feature events. He captured wins at Penn Can Speedway and I-88 and holds a slim point lead over young gun Kyle Smith. Jordan Thomas, Cory Sparks, Josh Pieniazek, and Brian Krummel also have wins during the early season.

The year-long point race for the CRSA sprinters is also close. The top five drivers are separated by only forty one points. Goodrich is on top of the pack followed by Smith, Cory Sparks, Dalton Herrick, and Josh Pieniazek. Thirty eight different drivers have scored points with the organization this season.

The Five Mile Point Speedway has been a mainstay on the CRSA calendar year after year. The Andrew Harpell owned speedway always provides for exciting action on the quarter mile track. The last time CRSA raced at Five Mile Point in November, Mike Kiser beat Josh Pieniazek, Brett Jaycox, Joe Kata, and, Dan Hennessy in a very entertaining feature event. Look for all of those drivers to return Saturday to compete for the top prize. Heat races and another exciting twenty five lap feature are on the schedule. Qualifying races are scheduled at 6:30.

The busy CRSA Series continues the following Friday, June 19th at the Albany Saratoga Speedway in Malta, New York. This will be their first of two events at the speedway in 2015.

The CRSA Tour is sponsored in part by American Racer/ Lias Tire, Kelly Fuels, Krietz Oval Track Parts, Magsarus Ignitions, Panther Frameworx, Kennedy's Towing, Schaeffer Racing Oil, M&W Aluminum Products, Bob Hilbert Sportswear, E&H Services, Espositos Lawn&Garden, and Snowflake Photography
