Tulsa Okla. (August 6, 2015) – After three straight weeks of doubleheader weekends, the Ameri-Flex Hose & Accessories / Oil Capital Racing Series sprint cars take a much deserved break as the teams will look to get ready for some key races coming up as five of the final seven events of the season will have extra cash on the line for the winged warriors as provided by Ameri-Flex Hose and Accessories.

The Salina Highbanks Speedway will kick off the bonus cash run on August 22nd as an extra $500 will be awarded to the main event winner. The event will also feature the USMTS modified series as well on the program so look for a great night of racing action on the steepest banks on the circuit.

The following weekend will see another doubleheader take place beginning with the Harold Leep Classic at the Outlaw Motor Speedway on Friday August 28th where $2000 awaits the winner. In addition, there will be $2500 in lap money alone that will be paid out in the feature. Plus, the Harold Leep Dash will pit 10 cars for 10 laps with additional cash available for that race.

The following night, the sprinters will trek to the new Longdale Speedway for the second time ever at the 3/8-mile oval with the winner collecting a $500 bonus at Jessie’s House. This will be the only appearance at Longdale for the Ameri-Flex / OCRS sprinters.

The last double of 2015 takes place Labor Day weekend when the Flint Creek Speedway hosts the Ameri-Flex / OCRS series along side the ASCS series for a unique nightly doubleheader on Friday September 4th followed by a visit to the Caney Valley Speedway on Saturday night for the third and finale time in 2015. Both tracks are quarter milers. Elbows up!

September 12th will see the 9th Annual Oklahoma State Championship race presented by Dooling Machine Products at the Oklahoma Sports Park in Ada Oklahoma. There have been seven winners in the previous eight OSC races with Whit Gastineau being the only 2-time winner of the event. This year’s winner will collect a cool two grand thanks in part to Dooling Machine Products.

The 14th season for the traveling dirt devils will come to a close on September 19th at the Tri-State Speedway where a $500 bonus will await that winner. 3-time champion Sean McClelland picked up bonus cash at Tri-State in June. If you haven’t seen the new improvements at Tri-State, you need to go check them out.

Harold Leep Dash –
The Ameri-Flex / OCRS series recently announced a special 10-lap dash race to be held during the Harold Leep Classic at Outlaw Motor Speedway on August 28th. The dash is for teams who have yet to score a feature win yet have competed in 70% of the events through the Lawton Speedway event last weekend.

Eligible drivers for the Harold Leep Dash include: Brent Bates, Michael Bookout, Zach Chappell, Cameron Hagin, Brian McClelland, Joseph Miller, Perry Pickard, Shayla Waddell, Casey Wills and Brett Wilson. You can sponsor a driver for just $100 each. Contact John Lemon at (918) 850-5341 for details.

Well Look Who Came To Play -
Fan favorite Danny Wood dropped in on the Ameri-Flex / OCRS series last Saturday at the Lawton Speedway. It was the series debut for the Veteran from Norman. The team rolled out a sharp looking Statewide Service Center sponsored J&J Chassis with a Folkes Auto Machine bullet between the rails. The debut was shortened a tad with a throttle hanging up in the main event. Look for the sleek number 81w again soon.

After 12 Years Paradise Is Found -
Cody Wampler pulled off an incredible upset at Lawton when he set sail for all 30 laps in winning his first career Ameri-Flex / OCRS A-feature. Wampler had been out of racing for several years until returning to action last year. His last feature win of any kind was in 2003. Victory Lane still looks great doesn’t it Cody?

Showing Them What We’re Made Of –
The Ameri-Flex / OCRS series made their first ever visit to the state of Texas last Friday when the sprinters strolled onto the Red River Speedway in Wichita Falls. The main event was simply OUTSTANDING! Whit Gastineau, and the Sellers boys (Robert & Shane) put on a three wide clinic when the trio was spread across the track late in the contest for an extended period of time. The finish, which had Gastineau as the victor, left the crowd giving the series a standing ovation.

Should Have Went To Disneyland -
To say Casey Wills had a weekend from hell would be an understatement. The Sperry pilot went for a wild ride when he flipped at Red River. He then proceeded to try the launching pad at Lawton the following night. Such thrill rides come a lot less expensive at Disneyland, travel expenses included.

The Anadarko Kid -
Ryan Padgett had a mixed bag weekend. At Red River, the Anadarko resident ran a solid 6th in the main event in only his second outing in Ameri-Flex / OCRS competition. At Lawton, Padgett ran second in his heat only to have the motor expire after receiving the checkered flag thus knocking him out for the evening. This young man looks to have a good future in sprint cars after several years in the micro ranks.

Point Taken –
Robert Sellers leads the Ameri-Flex / OCRS series with 6 wins and has the championship point lead. His event average is 82.5 points however, Gary Owens leads all drivers in points collected per event with 85.0 points. Due to a pair of recent victories, Whit Gastineau is third with 81.4

Aww Come On, Spill The Beans -
There will be an important announcement concerning the Ameri-Flex / OCRS sprint car series in the coming days regarding the 2016 season…...Stay Tuned.
