Challenging Weekend Ends up Vaulting Bookout into the Top Ten for the Season

Bookout survived a challenging double-header weekend with races at Flint Creek Speedway (West Siloam Springs, OK) on Friday and Caney Valley Speedway (Caney, KS) on Saturday, and cracked the Top Ten in points for the season with two events left for OCRS in 2015.

Friday's event saw Bookout capitalize on his outside front row start in his heat race and jump into the immediate lead and was chalking up a FAST run on the bullring of Flint Creek towards a win when on the last turn of the last lap, the 53 of Brett Wilson crashed Bookout into the wall turning a win into a last place finish. Overwhelming consensus from the competitors and teams in attendance was the Bookout was the recipient of a move that crossed the line. The Finish Line Coatings sprinter was patched up by the BiGFooT team and started at the back of the "A" feature. Bookout finished the race just outside the top ten with an 11th place finish.

Saturday's heat race at the Caney bullring was another FAST race for Bookout with a 2nd place finish in that heat. The setup for the "A" feature was off the mark and the anchor tied to the car did not help. However, the 17th place finish in the feature was enough to vault Michael Bookout to 10th place in the season standings.
