Modified Format for Championship Night

Modified Format for Championship Night

The Championship Night at Grays Harbor Raceway will have an added flare to it. The Shipwreck Beads Washington Modified Tour presented by Finishline Graphics will also receive points for their final race.
"There was a scheduling conflict with the original final race for the WMT and rather than cancel the race we moved it to run on the championship night at GHR." said track promoter Steve Beitler, "Because it is the Season Championship for the Grays Harbor Modifieds we will utilize the standard GHR format and add a little twist to accommodate the extra cars that we will probably have".

Format:
24 total cars or less:

Top 8 cars in GHR owner points will start straight up in the 6 lap Scramble to determine the first 4 rows.

Remainder of the field will draw for main event starting spot. Starting straight up by the draw behind the scramble cars.

25 cars or more:

Top 8 cars in GHR owner points will start straight up in the 6 lap Scramble to determine the first 4 rows.

Remainder of the field will be put into 2 B Mains based on the number they draw, (lowest number on pole of 1st B main, 2nd lowest number on the pole of the 2nd B Main...etc..) 10 Laps each.

Top 8 from each B Main will transfer to the A Main and line up by how they finished, behind the scramble cars.

1st B Main will be the inside row, 2nd B Main will be the outside row. 24 cars for 25 Laps.
