Park Jefferson tentative 2016 schedule

Jefferson, SD-Park Jefferson Speedway has announced its tentative 2016 racing schedule. The tentative schedule consists of 15 nights of racing culminating in the 3rd Annual Iron Cup. Park Jefferson’s main focus will be providing top class IMCA racing Saturday nights from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The season will kick off with a later than usual start on June 3rd after the track completes some much needed dirt work to improve drainage prior to opening.

The five featured classes will be the Sign Masters A Modifieds, J&J Fitting Stock Cars, Sport Modifieds, Hobby Stocks and Sport Compact divisions all competing under the IMCA banner. This will allow local drivers 2 nights of IMCA racing to allow them to qualify for the track, state, regional and national points. With the return of IMCA sanctioning, Park Jefferson will offer very affordable ticket prices for the weekly racing. Adult tickets will be priced at just $9 and children 6-16 will be just $1 for the IMCA Weekly Racing events .
“I really have to complement Greg Golden, our GM, who pushed hard to make IMCA racing a reality this year” stated AtoZ Promotions owner Adam Adamson.

The 2016 season will culminate with the third running of the Iron Cup. To build to the Iron Cup, Park Jefferson will hold 3 different events titled “Road to the Iron Cup”. Each of these events will see increased purses in all divisions, and the feature classes that night will lock the winners into provisional starting spots in the Iron Cup finale. All participants in the feature classes will receive a discount coupon off Iron Cup registration.

Park Jefferson will once again host some of the top national and regional touring series. The biggest event on the calendar will be the Siouxland's first ever visit by the World of Outlaws Late Model series on Saturday, July 16. On Saturday, August 26th, the United States Modified Touring Series, along with the Nebraska 360 Sprint Cars will return to provide a thrilling open wheel shootout. In regional action, the Super Late Model Racing Series will return on Saturday,August 6. The track is looking to add 2 additional dates of IMCA racing if sponsorship can be found for those nights.
