Terry Mattox – SAPULPA, Okla. (March 21, 2016) – To some the off season seemed like it was never ending, but now the time has come to kick the tires and light the fires, because the 31st consecutive season of dirt track racing is upon us this Saturday night at the Creek County Speedway.

The night will feature the 2016 Season Opener for the fourth season of the action packed “Fast Five Weekly Series.” Also the night will also feature the fourth annual “Easter Eggstravanganza Night” with Easter baskets being handed out while supplies last to the kids through the gate.

All five divisions will return to the Fast Five Weekly Series card: Champ Sprints, Modifieds, Dwarf Cars, Factory Stocks and Mini Stocks.

Michael Tyre is the defending Champ Sprint division champion. Anthony Neel captured the 2015 Modified Championship. Paul York picked up the Dwarf Car championship in 2015 while Bobby Wolfe took the championship in the Factory Stocks and Jerad Traster lead the way to his Mini Stock championship.

Ticket prices will remain the same in 2016, with Adults being admitted into the grandstands at $10, Kids 10-14: $6 and Children under 10: Free. Pitpasses are $30.

Saturday nights action kicks off at 7PM with Gates opening at 4:30PM and Hotlaps at 6:30PM.

Drivers that are planning on competing at Creek County Speedway are asked to print out and fill out their driver registration form and bring it to the track with them to help cut down on the lines at the pit gate. The form is MANDATORY for all drivers that are going to race at CCS. There is a $40 fee for drivers wishing to compete for points.

Also drivers we are asking for you to bring a boys and girls Easter basket for our Easter Eggstravaganza night this Saturday. Please bring those to Paulette on Saturday. Also be sure to add a picture of the car in there as well. Thanks!

2016 marks the 31st consecutive season of competition for the Creek County Speedway and the fourth consecutive season of the Fast Five Weekly Series.

Creek County Speedway is a tight quarter-mile bullring racing every Saturday night, located 6 miles west of Sapulpa, Oklahoma on Historic Route 66.
