The night was sure u[ in the air if we were going to be able to even get a lap in as storms were all around us. We did however get the entire show in and it was a great night. 16 600's, 9 Restrictor's, 4 Jr Sprints registered in for the night. We would run all our hot laps and heats then get the invert heats in to get our lineups set for the mains. First out would be the Jr. Sprint's. Christian Kreuger would lead the field around the track to take the green. The race would be an exciting on with the top 3 cars of Christian Krueger, Christopher Townsend and Trevor Twardeski racing it out. Christopher Townsend would be victorious in the end. The restrictor's charged on the track next. They lined up with Blake Scott guiding them to the green. Blake would lead most of the race then let his car get the best of him and spin to the infield causing the caution to come out. Trey Burke who was in second would take the lead and stay there to take the win. Finally the 600's would get there chance on the slick but very smooth track. Isaiah Garcia and Jeffrie Flisowski would redraw for the front row. The flagman would drop the green only to display the yellow pretty quickly to due to Jeffrie jumping the start. He and Bash Fergeson would swap spots and we would go green again. We got 1 lap in and the yellow would wave again to the spinning Raleigh Shepherd and Matt McDade being the unlucky one to get collected. They would re position themselves at the tail of the field. Isaiah would bring them around single file. The race would have a few more cautions due to spins. Bash Fergeson would pass for the lead and stay there till 5 laps to go where he would find Jake Lucas pass him on the outside. The caution would wave once again. Jake would stay out front as the field would get sorted out. Under caution Jake would loose his chain and retire for the night. That would take Bash back to the lead. He would grab that wheel and go on to win his first Lonestar 600 feature. Congrats to all the drivers for the wins. Thank you to all the drivers that came out to make the night a successful night even with the impending rain. Next race will be at Gulf Coast Speedway 5/28 and 5/29. The 600's will strap there wings on for the second time this year. Also racing will be the restrictor's and Jr. Sprint along with Gulf Coast Speedway's other classes.
