In only his second ASCS injected race of his career, Michael Bookout traveled north to Valley Speedway (Grain Valley, Missouri) for an ASCS Warrior Region event.
Bookout had the Finish Line Coatings, Ti22 Performance, Maxim Chassis and Wells Racing Engine sprinter hooked up in his heat race, powering to a second place finish.
The second place finish was good enough to qualify for the re-draw in the "A" Feature. Starting seventh in the "A" Bookout spun in turn one of the first lap trying to shoot through an opening to the front. The subsequent caution relegated him to the back of the 22 car field. Methodically moving his way to the front, Bookout advanced 11 positions from the restart to narrowly miss a "Top 10" finish by crossing the finish line in 11th place.
The next race for Bookout will be an OCRS race at Monett Speedway, the track where he won his first "A" Feature of his career on his last trip there.
