After a two month hiatus from OCRS action, Michael Bookout returned to the OCRS, competing in events at Salina Highbanks Speedway and Caney Valley Speedway. During his absence from OCRS, Bookout raced in a couple of ASCS events and ran at the Knoxville 360 Nationals.
When Bookout last ran in the OCRS, he had just notched his highest "A" Feature finish of the year with a 7th place finish at Monett Speedway and was 6th in the 2016 season standings.
Picking up where he left off, Bookout ended the race nights with additional top ten finishes; 9th at Salina and 10th at Caney. The next race for the Bookout team is at Oklahoma Sports Park in Ada.
