Tulsa, OK – January 13, 2017 – Chad Boespflug driving for 2013 Badger Midget Auto Racing Association car owner champions, RAB Racing, led the BMARA Midget Series contingent at Friday’s Chili Bowl Midget Nationals preliminary.
Boespflug finished fourth after starting sixth in heat race number eight. That placed Boespflug into one of the four qualifier events where he was unable to make the necessary progress for an A-main start. Boespflug was relegated to one of the two B-mains on the evening. Boespflug started 10th and finished in the eighth position in that B-main missing the transfer spot for the night’s A-main feature event.
Other notable BMARA drivers who attempted to qualify for Friday evening’s main event were Derek Childs, the sixth place finisher in 2016 BMARA Midget Series points standings, Johnny Murdock and Andy Baugh.
