Nathan Mills is gearing up for a 14 race schedule at Boone Speedway for the 2017 season. Mills will run for points with the IMCA RaceSaver Sprint Cars, hoping to be a top competitor.
Nate competed at the Iowa State Fair Speedway last year as a rookie contender. He placed a solid 7th overall in track points, hopeful for a win this year.
Mills' crew chief, Nick, is excited to get the season going. He says, "I would have to say, overall, last season was just awesome. It's been a life-long dream to be involved with any part of Sprint Car racing. However, it was difficult at times coming off our most successful season in Micro Sprint racing. When we were just points shy of a championship, moving to something that was so different and restarting our program was frustrating some nights. I'm super excited for this year as I think we've prepared well. I think Nate is going to do well, I just need to give him the best car possible every week. If we can improve every time we hit the track and take away something each night, we will be successful."
"I wouldn't be as excited as I am for this upcoming season if it wasn't for the people that make it happen." Nate says. "My crew chief, Nick, sacrifices a lot of time away from his family year round to make this team the best possible. My dad, he's always running here and there for parts and helps with absolutely anything. Larry, he is so passionate about this sport and truly loves giving his time to our program. Bo, being a veteran Sprint Car owner, volunteers his time at the track to help us out, giving us crucial pointers. His son, Scott, comes every weekend to lend a helping hand and keeps the team going, even on tough nights. The off season is what makes you better, and we've built a pretty solid program for this season. My guys have the same desire to win as I do, so I have no doubt we won't give up on any challenges we face until we get the results we want."
