Sodeman and the S & S Racing crew made their way out to Sharon Speedway on Tuesday for the Inaugural Lou Blaney Memorial Race. Another high pill draw for the 23jr would mean a start on the tail end of the first heat. Because there were four heat a 5th place finish would be the final transfer spot. At the drop of the green flag Sodeman took the flyer up into the 6th position and through the eight lap heat race he made his pass into the 5th and final transfer spot.

Starting 17th in thirty lap feature was a test of skill for Sodeman. With constant lap traffic and a several heavy hitters, Sodeman held nothing back to make his way through. After a long battle with Kasey Kahne for the 8th position, Sodeman had Dave Blaney in sight. But time ran out for the 23jr and finished the night in the 8th spot.
