Auburn, MI - Next weekend kicks off the heart of the Great Lakes Super Sprints schedule with 9 races in 4 weeks.

This Friday will be the first of 3 visits to Tri-City Motor Speedway (TCMS) this season. TCMS is a driver favorite which attracts the best cars and drivers in the Tri-State area! This weeks race won’t disappoint, with last years GLSS Champion Chase Ridenour and National Racing Alliance 2015 and 2016 Champion and last years feature winner at TCMS, Jared Horstman already confirming their participation. Also confirming making the trip to TCMS next week are fan favorites Dustin Daggett, Phil Gressman, and Kyle Sauder.

Many might remember Tri-City Motor Speedway as a paved ½ mile Trick-Track located near Auburn, MI. In 2010 the facility was purchased by the current owner Steve Puvalowski who converted the facility back into a dirt facility. In 1947 Tri-City Motor Speedway was built as a ¼ mile dirt track. Today, the track surface is topped with sourthern red clay and measures .354 of a mile or is commonly known as a small 3/8ths track. Steve and Erika Puvalowski work hard on providing fans and racers a great racing experience by continually updating and making improvements to the facilities.

Our second night of the double header weekend is at the historic Crystal Motor Speedway (CMS), also known as Crystal Raceway and located in Crystal, MI. CMS is a semi-banked 3/8ths mile clay track and has been a fan favorite track since 1948. CMS is owned and operated by the flamboyant showman Ron Flynn who continues to be hands on making sure fans and racers alike are taken care of.

Don’t miss us at Crystal Motor Speedway on June 10th, this will be our only visit to their track in 2017.

June 17th we will be traveling to Montpelier Speedway in Montpelier, IN for a Saturday night showdown with a co-sanctioned NRA race. Sunday we will help open Ohio Speedweek at Waynesfield Raceway Park, sharing the track with the All Star Circuit of Champions for an all sprint car show!

We’ll travel back to Michigan for a Friday night race at I-96 Speedway for our second of 4 visits. The NRA group will make the trip once again for another co-sanctioned double header weekend. On Saturday, we’ll travel to the West coast of Michigan and visit Thunderbird Speedway for our first of two visits for 2017.

For the 4th of July week end we will kick things off with a Friday night race at Limaland Raceway Park located in Lima, OH. Saturday we will make the short trip to Fremont to visit ‘The Track That Action Built” for our only visit to Fremont Speedway this year. Sunday, we will take the day off for cookouts and fireworks, but we’ll finish the weekend off with a big race on Monday, July 3rd. We’ll make our last visit to Waynesfield Raceway Park for the Summer Sprint Sizzler featuring winged 360, 410, 305 and mini sprints.

Great Lakes Super Sprints is a traveling 360 cu in winged sprint series that visits local dirt tracks in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Ontario. GLSS was founded on sprint car passion! Racers, track owners and engine builders participated in the process of developing the rules and race procedures used today. The key ingredient is love of sprint cars which is evident when you visit the pits at our races. We want racers with this passion to come race at GLSS events and have fun being with others with the same goals and ideals. It gives our teams the feel of a close knit racing club, but the end result is clean competitive racing.

The end result of these ingredients is great racing for the fans that travel to their local tracks. This attracts the best cars and drivers in the tri-state area. The Best race with GLSS!
