26 Promotions – Peoria, AZ – (June 18th, 2017) – Dale Eliason Jr captured his first win Saturday night as the Power 600 Series – Precision Tile Micro’s took to the big third mile oval at Canyon Speedway Park for the first time this year.
22 Winged Micro’s checked in Saturday night for Canyon’s Birthday Bash. Jarrett Martin, Michael Colegrove, and Colton Hardy picked up the Heat race wins. Eliason Jr started and finished 3rd in Heat 3, earning just enough points to make the 6-car invert, lining him up on the pole for the 20-lap Feature.
Eliason Jr dominated the Feature while Jarrett Martin and Michael Colegrove battled for the runner-up position throughout most of the night. Eliason Jr led from the drop of the green and faced very little pressure during the Feature as he’d go on to pick up his first career 600 win. Martin claimed the second position from 5th, while Colegrove completed the podium from 6th. Clay Sprau and Paul Martin rounded out the top 5.
The Power 600 Series – Precision Tile Micro Sprints are off until July 29th when they are back on the big track at Canyon Speedway Park for the Allscapes Back to School Special. SWDRA Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Arizona Differential Sport Mods and Modlites will also be in action. Pit gates open at 4, spectator gates open at 5 with racing getting underway at 7:30. There is a mandatory driver’s meeting at the Power 600 Series trailer directly following Canyon’s driver meeting.
