Competing in his second ASCS Red River Region event of the season, Bookout won his heat race in dominating style. Starting outside pole, Bookout passed pole-setter Shane Sellers in the first turn of the first lap. Pulling to almost a straightaway lead at points during the race, Bookout held off a late charge by ASCS National driver Wayne Johnson to record his first win of the season.
Advancing to the "A" Feature, Bookout was running 11th at the time of a racing incident in which on of the other cars came up into him taking down the front axle and ending his night. Bookout was noted with an 18th place finish.
