Well thankfully the news is good as it can be after looking more into what happened Sunday at BRRP during the feature when chain came off we noticed water coming from the engine block area. Thinking the worst that when the chain came apart it may have cracked the block but after taking things apart last night we found that it had only cracked the water pump. Thankfully we had saved the one from the old motor and bolted it on, filled it back up with fluids and the 100 machine fired right back up! Since we had some time we decided to look into why we have had 2 chain issues this past month and after taking the axle out it appears that the axle may have had a slight bend in it causing the vibration we had felt in the feature before the chain came apart. So we ordered up a new axle along with some maintenance parts and more spacers so that we can get it back together this week and be ready for the weekend.
The plan is to flag as usual in Greenbush on Saturday and race at BRRP as usual Sunday night. Next week we will race Friday night in Grand Forks at River Cities Speedway on August 11th, work Saturday night in Greenbush and retrun home to close out the weekend at BRRP Sunday night racing. Hopefully the weekend of the 11th-13 will bring me a birthday present of my 1st victory wither a heat race or feature!
We sure had a good battle going on with the #16 of Josh Abrhamson last Sunday and hopefully the repairs get us running well again! The new motor from Hanson Gear and Engine really seemed to run well last Sunday night and i am excited to get a few races on it.
See everyone at the races!
