Today is raceday at BRRP!!!
We loaded up the 100 machine yesterday and headed to Kennedy Minnesota to get some work done on the car at the Truedson race shop early Saturday morning and see if we could solve the chain issue that has been plaguing us the past few weeks and get the car ready for one of our sponsors to drive at the Greenbush Race Park last night. Well after spending the afternoon with the Truedson's we think have finally solved the chain problem and headed to GRP for the races. Unfortunately the person who was to drive the car could not make it so a last minute decision to put another drive in the car was made. We put Brayden Pengilly in the car since she was in Greenbush with the NOSA Sprints to race for the evening. Brayden is a former lightning sprint racer so it was an easy choice to ask the young lady to jump in the car and make some laps to see if all the hard work that Marty & Kelly have put in has paid off! Thanks to Laske Fabrication for some weld work on the chain saver so that we could get it back together even!!
She finished a respectable 10th in car and best of all no chain issue!!! Doing double duty may have worn Brayden out as she ran about 45 race laps combined between the 2 classes!! Thanks to Brayden for jumping in at the last minute and getting us some laps on the car!!
