CMR Racing and driver Chad Orr went to Circus City Speedway on Saturday night to compete in the Circle City Clash! Chad drew a #33 pill which put him starting on inside of row 3 of the 1st heat race for the night. "The track was really hard to judge on what it was going to do for our heat race. I get the stagger in it and it ended up being a little free in the middle of the corner and also on corner exit. The stagger was the right call but I should have moved the right rear in a smidgen. However, we were able to come home 4th in the heat so I am happy with that all things considered. I am really enjoying this new car. It is such a pleasure to drive!" Chad spoke after getting out of the car after his heat race.

The team then pushed the car into our team mate Bob Gillespie's trailer as the approaching weather was really starting to move into the area. "We were keeping an eye on the radar all night and we were told that no matter what. We are going to get this race in. The rain came and it poured. Then it teased us and let up giving everyone hope. Curt (Bullick) and the rest of the track crew really busted their butts trying to get us a race track. That is when mother nature decided she was going to win that night and opened back up and just washed us out. That is when Curt rode around the pit area letting us know that we would race Sunday starting at 2pm. So we all get to go home and rest and come back tomorrow and do it again." Chad Orr spoke while waiting on the rain in the team's hauler.

The team headed back to Circus City Speedway on Sunday to finish the event from the night before. "We started the A-main in 6th and at the beginning the track just did not have any bit up top. So I had to wait to get to the bottom after a few cars got under me and ran down low for the first 5 or 6 laps. That is when the bottom started to fade and I went back up top. The car hooked up, but so did everyone else so We just tried our best. We were able to get back by Brad (Landis) on the last lap and come home 10th. We are happy with that all things considered as we are still learning what the car likes and on what type of surface. We are gathering a lot of notes to help us next year for sure." Chad spoke after the 25 lap A-main.

The team was informed before the first feature that the CCS crew was going to put on another whole event for Sunday evening. Chad drew a #8 pill which started him on the inside of the 2nd row of the 1st heat race. "We started 3rd and just went into the first corner hugging the bottom. Everyone was having problems getting some grip at first. Then the track really cranked up after the first few laps. I was on the back of (Rick) Rhodes and just followed him through. I had an opportunity one time in turn 3 to get under him but there was just not enough room and I did not want to take us both out. We were both locked into the nights A-main and did not want to do anything to risk that." Chad spoke after the first heat race.

Chad went and redrew a #3 for the nights A-main and it ended up putting him on the pole for the nights event. "We took stagger out of the car as the track started to dust off and slick up. It was the right call for sure. The start was not that great for us as we were a little snug at the beginning waiting for the tire pressures to come up. Russ (Gamester) got under us along with Wes Bigger and Rick Rhodes. I was able to hang up there with them but they stayed sided by side most of the race and I just could not find a hole. We had a great race though and I am happy to bring home a 4th place finish for our team. We are more then pleased with the progress we have made this season!" Chad spoke as he was debriefing with his crew after the event.

The team will travel to Kokomo Speedway on October 20th to be part of the Kokomo Klash. it will be the first event the team will run with the wing on top of the 14c and we are looking forward to seeing what we can do on Friday the 20th. The team may return to Circus City Speedway as we await the fair boards decision on what their plans are for the rest of the year. The team would like to thank everyone at CCS for everything they have done for the team and everyone who races at the facility. They have done a great job and we can't wait to go back.

The team would like to thank Sport Clips, Valvoline, Potbelly Sandwich Shops, JAZ Racing Products, Rod End Supply, Ultra-Shield Racing Products, Momentum Racing Suspensions, LaPalma Mexican Restaurant, Mel's Keg, XS Power, Krave Jerky, Skips Performance Corner, #TeamMRP, Gillespie's Trucking and Garage, Skips Performance Corner, BP Fab, and Baker Motorsports for their support this year.
