Hollan, Kasiner and Cochran Claim Season-Opening Lucas Oil NOW600 National Micro Series Wins During Debut at Port City

Inside Line Promotions – TULSA, Okla. (March 8, 2018) – Fresh faces graced Victory Lane on Thursday night during the season-opening race for the Lucas Oil NOW600 National Micro Series presented by MyRacePass, which welcomed 79 entrants during its first-ever race at Port City Raceway.

Harley Hollan and Garth Kasiner each recorded their first career series triumph and Chris Cochran picked up his second career win during the first round of the three-night Terry Walker Memorial.

Hollan maneuvered from ninth to capture the Winged ‘A’ Class victory. Jase Randolph finished second with Kaylee Bryson third, Blake Battles fourth and 18th-starting Frank Flud rounded out the top five.

Battles, Kasiner, Craig Carroll and Hollan were the heat race winners. Matt Ward and Avery Goodman each claimed a B Main triumph.

Kasiner put on a charge in the Restricted ‘A’ Class main event as he rallied from eighth to garner the win. Wyatt Siegel, Kale Drake, 12th-starting Brant Woods and Ryan Timms rounded out the top five, respectively.

Shawn Mahaffey, Drake and Timms scored heat race triumphs and Rees Moran won the B Main.

Cochran closed the night by powering from 10th to win the Stock Non-Wing A Main. Daniel Shaffer posted a runner-up result with Battles ending third, Curtis Jones fourth and Flud was fifth after starting 19th.

Bryson, Timms and Ward each picked up a heat race win.

The Terry Walker Memorial resumes on Friday at Port City Raceway with the front gates opening at 5 p.m. and the drivers meeting slated for 6:45 p.m. The pill draw will be open for one hour prior to the drivers meeting. Hot laps are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. with racing to follow.

Adult tickets are $10 per person and children ages 10-years-old and younger get in free with an adult. Pit passes are $30 per person.
