Park Jefferson announces Wheel & Teather Rules for Sprint Cars

In following with other area tracks, Park Jefferson Speedway has announced the following rules for all sprint cars concerning safety:

Front axle tethers are required for competition with Park Jefferson Speedway. The following part numbers from ButlerBuilt are recommended.

• BBP 4922-225 -2 1/4" Axle diameter complete kit • BBP 4922-238 -2 3/8" Axle diameter complete kit • BBP 4922-250 -2 1/2" Axle diameter complete kit

A tether is required on both left, and right sides of the Front Axle. Tethers must be mounted from the Front Axle, just outside the Radius Rod hookups on both sides of the Front Axle, utilizing the aluminum mounting brackets
provided by ButlerBuilt. Tethers must extend to the second upright of the frame and be attached below the front engine mounts. Tether must be attached with a slipknot around the upright. Crews cannot alter the intentions of the Axle Tethers.

The following wheel cover fastening options WILL BE REQUIRED IN 2018:
If utilizing dzus fasteners, minimum of (5) STEEL dzus required. Wheel covers having only (3) attachment points must be bolted - on at all (3) points utilizing a minimum
(5/16) inch, flanged steel bolt and an approved fastening (nut assembly) system. Rounded or flat topped Allen/Screw driver/ headed bolts with washers are recommended. Approved fastening systems are: Keyser Manufacturing (#100 7-101); Wehrs Manufacturing (#WM377A-312 Aluminum 5/16),(#WM377S-312 Steel 5/16); Triple X Chassis (#SC-WH-7810-1” spring), (#SC-WH-7820–1-3/8” spring),Smith Precision Products (#MC-516-18); Speedway Motors (#910-07119).
