Sunday night we loaded up and headed to Buffalo River Race Park on a windy but beautiful Sunday night for racing. The Modified were off racing in Lisbon made the pits seem a little empty but it was a good night of racing. We have been running the back up car we purchased over the winter this year so far as due to circumstances we were unable to get things ready in time. Not that it has been a bad thing as we think we got all the bugs out and the car has been running really well!
After a few weeks of hiccups the car has run strong the last few weeks and we are starting to get some results for all the effort Marty & Kelly put into the cars each week! If not for some driver error we would have had consecutive top 5 finishes, but a 5th & 6th are not to bad! I was thinking last night about that even though technically this is my second year of racing when you consider the fuel & chain issue we had last year i think i only ran complete features 3/4 of the time maybe...More seat time is really starting to definitely make me more comfortable knowing the cars limits and to race others harder for position and be able to run close and clean.
This week we run Thursday night in Ada @ Norman County Raceway and we are planing on bringing out our primary #100 car if things all go as planned. That means that Monday-Wednesday after work evenings will be busy!
We also have the black #100 car for sale at this time, but intend to race it as well with a variety of different drivers from other divisions whenever we can.
