Sun Prairie, WI June 15---Three divisions highlight this Sunday Night’s "Fathers Day Festival" at Angell Park Speedway. The Zimbrick Chevrolet of Sun Prairie Badger Midget Racing Series & POWRi Lucas Oil Regional Midget Series, IRA Bumper to Bumper Outlaw Sprint Car Series, and the Auto Meter Wisconsin wingLESS Sprint Car Series will participate in the June 17 event.
Four-time Badger Champion Scott Hatton holds a seven-point lead over Tyler Baran heading into the event. Six father-son combinations have scored Angell Park feature victories: Don & Rich Vogler; Al Sr. & Dan Fredenberg; Ron & Dean Erfurth; Don & Dan Boorse; Lars & Hans Lein; and Dave & Davey Ray.
2003 Badger Midget Champion Davey Ray will drive the Mark & Robbie Ray owned DRC/Honda No. 3 in the event. Ray will be seeking his fifteenth career Angell Park feature victory, and first in a Badger sanctioned event since June 12, 2010.
Grandstand seating opens at 4:30 pm; practice at 5:30 pm, with racing to follow practice. The "Badger drivers meet & greet", opportunity for fans to meet the drivers before the evenings events will take place at the Badger Souvenir trailer at 5:00 pm behind the grandstand. The BMARA Fan Club/Kids Club will be giving away four bicycles at the event sponsored by Hypersports/Craig Campton driver of the #7 wingless sprint car, and Seminary Springs Tavern.
