JBR weekend recap

This past weekend we headed off to Greenbush Race Park on Saturday and started off the weekend. Did not have the best heat race as the car wanted to be on 3 wheels most of the corner so basically just held on and finished 8th place out of 8 cars. The feature didn't go much better as we started 8th and finished 8th as the car was not handling the best and also did a little damage to the nose wing. Sunday we regrouped and went thru the car and rechecked ride heights and replaced the nose wing and after washing the car up headed off to BRRP for some Sunday night racing. It started off pretty good in the feature as we finished 2nd which assured us a good starting spot in the feature. Marty made a few adjustments to the car as the track changed some before our feature and man did it seem to work!! We got a good start and a little lucky entering turn 1 as i pushed up a little but Josh gave me enough room and i was able to take the lead going down the back straightaway. The 100 machine ran a pretty good 14 1/4 laps before Josh was able to find our weak spot and sneak by in turns 1 & 2 and take the lead away on the last lap!! I am disappointed to have lead the entire race and not come away with our 1st feature win to an extent but on the other hand we are finishing races and contending for top 5 or better finishes most nights. Marty & Kelly are keeping the car running well so i feel we can get there!!! It's a great time racing with the NLSA and the great people that are involved in the club!!!
Next week we have a big race weekend capping it off with some surprises at BRRP Sunday night!! Stay tuned to Track Talk tonight for more info!!!
