USAC East Coast Inaugural Season Champion To Be Named At Port Royal Speedway

TONIGHT the Inaugural Season Champion for the USAC East Coast Wingless Sprints will be named at the Port Royal Speedway.

This is the series only visit to the Speed Palace this season. With many big names on the ballot, Steven Drevicki, Joey Biasi, and Eddie Strada will have a large task ahead of them as the three face off for the championship.

Drevicki, the points leader going into tonight's event has a 33 point lead on Biasi and a 60 point lead on Strada. Drevicki, driver of the #19 Buccaneer Bay Classic Car Storage car won the season opener at Delaware International Speedway and ended up with a win at Bedford Speedway after Strada was light at the scales.

Strada, who pilots the BBJG #5G got a second place finish at that season opener and chalked up a big win at the NEWS vs. USAC-EC challenge race at New Egypt Speedway.

Joey Biasi, the veteran of the bunch has used his knowledge and experience to his advantage the entire season. Biasi finally scored the win the series second stop at Big Diamond Speedway.
