Bryan Hulbert – SAPULPA, Okla. (April 6, 2019) With the weather missing it’s forecasted mark, the 2019 season at Creek County Speedway went green this past Saturday night to kick off the track’s 35th season of racing action with Zach Chappell, Chad Davis, Scott Wilson, Wesley Knebel, and James Waters earning their first victories of the season.

Winning in Champ Sprint action, Talala, Okla. shoe, Zach Chappell, wheeled his No. 50z to the top spot from the right of the second row. Running up from 13th, Broken Arrow’s Avery Goodman crossed second with Noah Harris in third. Danny Smith was fourth with the night’s Hard Charger award going to Bailey Hughes who posted an impressive run from 22th to complete the night’s top five.

Picking up where he seemed to have left off, Tulsa’s Chad Davis was the master of the Modified division. Justin Cartwright in second had Collin Wisely in tow. James Esmond from ninth grabbed fourth with Dustin Leatherman in fifth. In Factory Stocks, it was Scott Wilson with the win. Justin McBride picked up three spots to finish second with Ben Lewis in third. Chris Wilson was fourth with Jimmy Owen in fifth.

Up four spots with the Mini Stocks, Wesley Knebel secured the win with Michael Longacre posting an impressive run from 10th to second. Joshua Tyre, Justin Melton, and Adrien Hickman made up the top five. Oklahoma 600cc Modifieds went to James Waters. Nigel Calvert, Justin Frisk, and Randy Aldridge made the field.

Up next at Creek County Speedway is a double-header weekend with American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region in action on Friday, April 12. Admission is $15 for adults with kids 10 and under free. Gates open at 5:00 P.M. with Hot Laps at 7:00 P.M. (CT).

Weekly racing action continues Saturday, April 13. Fast Five Weekly Series admission is $10 for adults. Youth 11-14 will be admitted for $6 and kids 10 and under get into the grandstands for free. Pits Passes are $30 (under 10 years of age is $15). Special Event prices will be posted to the Creek County Speedway website, as well as Social Media. Spring and Fall events will open at 5:00 P.M. with Hot Laps at 7:00 P.M. and Racing at 7:30 P.M. During the Summer, Hot Laps will move to 7:30 P.M. with Racing at 8:00 P.M. (CT)
