OSWEGO, NY (August 23, 2019) - Eagle Beverage and Busch Beer have signed on as the presenting sponsors of Oswego Speedway’s 2nd annual 35-lap, $2,500 to win Classic for the 350 Supermodified division next Sunday, September 1.
350 Supermodified teams from all across the Northeast region are expected for the season finale including Oswego Speedway regulars Barry Kingsley, Mike Bruce, Dalton Doyle, Tom MacLeod, and 2019 Track Champion Anthony Losurdo.
Drivers expected to invade from the New England area include four-time Oswego feature winner Stephen Duphily along with Mike Netishen, John Burke, Jeffrey Battle, Bobby Timmons III, Matt Seavey, Mike Keddy and many more.
Busch Beer will present all of the action beginning with 350 Supermodified Classic time trials on Friday. Every 350 Super in attendance will qualify as part of Friday’s ‘Pole Day’ program. Should more than twenty four cars enter, a consolation event will be run prior to Sunday’s main.
The 350 Supermodified main event has a total purse exceeding $17,000 with additional bonus cash set for the inside pole qualifier ($300) and the outside pole qualifier ($150). Any car that can not start the main event will be awarded $250 in tow money.
In the inaugural 350 Supermodified Classic one year ago, Dave Helliwell earned the win over Mike Scott, Duphily, Scott Watts, and Mike Spurling in the top five. Completing the top ten were Seavey, Billy Osborne, Dave Sanborn, Jim Baker, and Timmons.
