POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget League Embraces E-Sports

Belleville, IL. (4/3/2020) With the cancelation of all outside racing action, many drivers and fans alike are tuning into E-Sports to fill their desire for dirt. Evolving to meet the sports demands the POWRi Lucas Oil West Midget League has unveiled an eager and enthusiastic six-week schedule for iRacing competition events.

Using the iRacing platform motorists can log-in via a strong internet connection to compete against other drivers around the globe in a myriad of classes and cars. Dedicating the season to midget competition, the POWRi West League will oversee all race-day duties such as entry, timing, and scoring. Drivers from everywhere are eligible to compete as long as they meet the specific computer requirements to run the iRacing program as well as proving their talents in preliminary racing to qualify for events with a limit of the top fifty participants. POWRi TV will broadcast live to offer this six-week iRacing schedule that takes place every Tuesday Night at 7 PM CST free of charge to fans.

With one tightly contested feature in the books, the current POWRi West Midget iRacing League point’s standings may be early but is still on every entrant’s mind. Winning at Lernerville in Race #1, Aiden Purdue #45 sits atop the season standings with #39 Jeffery Denney running close behind in second as #25 Kyle Spence rounds out the top three in points.

Up next for the POWRi West Midget League in the iRacing arena will be at the digitally recreated Limaland Motorsports Park outside of Elida, Ohio. This quarter-mile premier facility owned by UNOH will act as a host for the over 75 drivers pre-entered in this unique event. Future events also include 4/14 – Fairbury American Legion Speedway – Fairbury, IL, 4/21 – River Spirit Expo – Chili Bowl Race Surface – Tulsa, OK, 4/28 – Lanier Raceplex – Braselton, GA, and 5/5 – Eldora Speedway – Rossburg, OH.
