Cox Returns to Knoxville Saturday

After hitting the road and racing in Nebraska, and Kansas over the Memorial Day Holiday weekend, Clarksburg, California’s, Justyn Cox is poised to return to the Knoxville Raceway for the first time in exactly one month.

The last time Cox powered his Brian Brown Racing/STL/Oakley machine around the famous half-mile, disaster struck during hot-laps and sent the youngster into a very violent series of flips in the first set of turns.

After working feverishly to put his car back together, Cox was hit with two rainouts before finally getting back in the car for four races Memorial Day weekend.

That four-race span saw Justyn put up some very respectable finishes against some of the top 360ci drivers in the country.

“After we crashed I had to sit and think about it for a few weeks before I finally got the chance to climb back in a car after all the rain we got,” explained Cox. “We had some really good runs in Nebraska and Kansas so I’m looking forward to getting back to Knoxville this weekend.

Following the Memorial Day weekend, Cox returned home to his native California for some family time before his schedule heats up in the summer months.

“It was nice getting the chance to get back to California and seeing some family and friends,” remarked Cox. “I have a great second family out here but it’s always nice to get a little bit of home cooking and relax.

Cox and his team hit the track Saturday night as the 360ci class serves as a support series for the famed World of Outlaw’s as they too take to the famed ½ mile at the Marion County Fairgrounds this weekend.

Justyn would like to thank Brian Brown Racing, Oakley, STL ( Sacramento Theatrical Lighting ), College Cyclery, 7industries, Searsboro Telephone Company for their continued support in 2011.
