Gregg Works Way to 12th Place Finish in Medford

PETERSEN MEDIA-Saturday night in Medford, OR, Andy Gregg overcame a lap two tangle and grabbed a 12th place finish aboard his Bret Ervin Racing/7 Industries/Eagle No. 53.

Lining up in the 11th position for the 30-lap feature, Gregg was forced to get on the second lap causing his Ervin Sales Group/Autism Awareness/Hot Rod shop to spin and make contact with Brad Bumgarner and Mason Moore.

Gregg had minor damage, but tagged the field in the 20th spot. Once back underway, Andy utilized the top of the racetrack to begin working his way forward.

The yellow flew again on the seventh lap with Gregg moving up five spots to 15th, after an entertaining battle with Jason Statler.

Once back underway, the red flag flew a lap later, and Gregg elected to head to the pits for a couple adjustments to his College Cyclery/Guts/Ott powered machine.

Re gridding the field in 18th, Gregg continued to wrestle his car both high and low as he carved his way through traffic once again. After disposing of Wolfe and Furr on the 12th lap, he was able to again get past Rico Abreu to grab the 14th spot when the caution waved just six laps later on lap 14.

The last 16 circuts had two cautions slow the pace, but Gregg was able to claw his way forward to the 12th position after getting around Brett Bjork and Kenny Allen. As the chckered flag waved, Gregg maintained his 12th finishing spot.

“Though we were able to salvage a 12th place finish tonight, we still need to get our new car right,” explained Gregg. “We’ve been fast the last couple nights in it, but the car just hasn’t been exactly how I think it needs to be.”
