Sun Prairie, WI, June 5, 2020 ---- The cars and stars of the Zimbrick Chevrolet of Sun Prairie Badger Midget Series are set to begin their 84th season with the ever-popular "Salute to Harry Turner" event at Wilmot Raceway (Wilmot, WI) on June 27.
Like many other professional sporting organizations across the country, the Badger Midget Series has been affected by the coronavirus pandemic causing a delayed start to the 2020 season.
“We are excited to get the 2020 season underway,” explained Badger Midget Series President Quinn McCabe, “and what better way to do it than with a race dedicated to one of the past greats of our sport.”
Zach Boden earned his first career Badger Midget Series feature victory at the 2019 “Salute to Harry Turner” race and is expected to return to defend his win. Chase McDermand, the reigning Badger Midget Series Champion is also expected to return to defend his 2019 title. McDermand edged out runner up Jack Routson by just two points after a yearlong arduous battle that went down to the last race.
In addition to the Badger Midgets, the Wilmot Raceway will also be hosting Street Stocks, A-Modifieds, and Bandits for the June 27th event.
