Double-Header at “The Lake” for the POWRi National and West Midget Leagues

Belleville, IL. (06/09/2020) The POWRi Lucas Oil National and West Midget Leagues are all set for a return to the “Show-Me State” for two days of competition. This weekend, June 12th and 13th, Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Missouri will host top drivers from all over as everyone attempts to tame the tricky one-third mile dirt-oval.

Pits will be open all day with driver’s registration open from 4-6 pm. Driver’s meeting is scheduled for 6:30 as Hot-Laps action will kick-off at 6:45, racing action to follow. All times will remain the same for both days of competition.

For the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midgets, five edge-of-your-seat events have been completed with five different drivers claiming the top spots. First racing at Valley Speedway for the Mid-Missouri Open Wheel Nationals, night one witnessed Zach Daum earn his 20th POWRi Midget feature win, tying for fifth on the career-win leader boards. Night two at Valley would see Justin Grant earn his first-ever sanctioned feature win in a dominating fashion. Logan Seavey would waste no-time breaking the tie for fifth in all-time POWRi wins, by claiming his 21st career feature victory at I-44 Riverside Speedway at the 7th Annual Turnpike Challenge. The trend of first-time POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League feature winners continued on the final two-nights of the TPC with Michael “Buddy” Kofoid winning at I-44 Riverside and Cannon McIntosh gaining glory at Port City Raceway.

Point’s action is starting to heat up as the POWRi National Midgets get into the full-swing of the season-long endeavor. Currently, Jake Neuman #3n resides atop all other drivers, establishing a commanding 130 point advantage over the next closest racing rival. Cannon McIntosh #71K, Logan Seavey #19az, Ace McCarthy #28, and Tanner Carrick #35 all reside within striking distance within the top-five in the POWRi season standings.
