POWRi NMMRA Set for Season Start at Sandia Speedway without Spectators

Belleville, IL. (06/16/2020) After careful deliberations, guidance, and following national and regional restrictions the POWRi Lucas Oil New Mexico Motor Racing Association and Sandia Speedway are excited to get their seasons underway, holding the first contest of the season without spectators permitted in general admission.

Saturday, June 20th will start the year-long racing action featuring the Non-Wing Sprints of the POWRi New Mexico Motor Racing Association in their season quest for championship glory. Drivers will not want to miss out on the season kick-off for one of the nation's oldest and top touring traditional sprint series. Pit Gates Open at 4:00 pm with drivers meeting at 5:45 pm. Hot Laps begin at 6:00 pm with racing to follow.

Guidelines for Event:
-No spectators, No concessions, No outdoor grilling
-No participants congregating in groups
-Everyone must wear a mask. Drivers will wear a helmet-not face mask while driving
-Pre-registration, Covid-19 wavier & form must be done online- No registration at gate (all necessary forms are available on our website www.RaceSandia.com )
-Driver Pre-Registration must be completed by Thursday, June 18th @ 5pm for June 20th race
-Driver/Pit meeting will be done over PA
-Pit gate will remain locked from the start of the first race till completion of the final event of the night
-6 crew members per entry with name, phone, email
-Minimum of 12 feet between you and another pit spot
-Social distancing 6 ft apart
