PETERSEN MEDIA- Saturday night, Shawn Wright and his Wright Motorsports team head to the Petaluma Speedway for round number nine of the 2011 California Civil War Series.
Following a 12th place run at the most recent Civil War event at the Placerville Speedway, Wright is locked in loaded for Saturday night’s event.
“We actually thought we had a motor going sour last week,” explained Wright. “Luckily we were able to fix the issue and are able to go racing again this weekend.”
Back in May, during the season opening event, Wright had some rough luck at the Petaluma Speedway and was relegated to an 18th place finish.
“The season didn’t get off to the greatest start, so hopefully we have some better luck this weekend down there,” said Wright. “I’ve just got to thank everyone who makes it possible for me to get out and race on a weekly basis.”

Action is set to fire off at 4:30pm Saturday with a full night of racing action.
