Wright Tallies Sixth at Petaluma Civil War

TRAILER BROKEN INTO AFTER EVENT

PETERSEN MEDIA-Saturday night, Lodi, CA resident, Shawn Wright, went to work with the California Civil War Series at the Petaluma Speedway, and charged his Wright Processing machine to a stout sixth place finish in the star-studded event.

The night got off to a strong start for Wright, as he timed in his Performance Powdercoating/A S Landscaping/A.R.T. Speed Eqquipment backed entry in with the 15th quickest lap of the 30 cars assembled at the Petaluma Speedway.

A fourth place run in the third heat race, transferred Wright into the feature event where he rolled off in the 12th position.

With the tricky track conditions, Wright patiently worked his way through traffic. Early in the feature he was able to work his way past Trent Canales and Kirk Thompson to crack the top-10,

As the race reached the halfway point, the Lodi, CA resident had reached the eighth spot and began pressuring Brett Rollag for the seventh spot. As he cleared Rollag, Wright then went to work on former series champion, Mike Henry for the sixth spot.

After battling Henry for several laps, Wright was able to wrestle the sixth position just before the white flag flew.

As the checkered flag flew, Wright held on to the sixth spot after his impressive run from his 12th spot.

“Tonight was a pretty good run for this Wright Motorsports team,” said Wright. “This track was tricky but our car was pretty good and we were able to fight through traffic.”

Following his return to his shop in Lodi, the Wright Motorsports trailer was broken into and several pieces of equipment were stolen including Complete front end, ti bolt kit, (10) gears, air compressor, go pro camera, Dewalt drill, master cylinder, valve spring checker, and misc. spare stuff.
