The 32nd Annual Northern Nationals Russ Laursen Classic is set to kick at Gondik Law Speedway for an exciting 3 day show September 10th, 11th, and 12th!
Our opening day Thursday September 10th will start off an exciting weekend with the Northern Renegade Traditional Sprints making another appearance on the fast red clay oval. We are expecting a good crowd of regional traditional sprint car drivers to compete for their first time ever at the Northern Nationals. We will also be having a complete show of Hornets and Pure Stocks in action to kick off the first day. Our Midwest Modifieds will also be in attendance for their first of 3 shows for the weekend.
Friday September 11th we get into the meat of the weekend with day 1 of the Russ Laursen Classic and $5,190 to win Late Model portion of the show starting with 2 complete heats for the Late Models to qualify for Saturdays feature action. The Late Models will also have 2 dashes completed on this day which will set the feature line up for the top 16 in passing points. Joining the Late Models will be the Midwest Modifieds, Super Stocks, and the Modifieds for a complete show for each class.
Saturday September 12th on the final day of the action packed weekend will see the Midwest Modifieds competing for their 3rd day in a complete show for $800 to win and $100 to start each day. Super Stocks will also be competing in their second complete show for $1200 to win and $110 to start. The Modifieds will again not disappoint with their second full show of the weekend with the top finisher receiving $1800 and $160 to start the feature. The night will be capped off with the Late Models who will have B-Mains to round out the 24 car field and a 40 lap feature paying a record $5190 to win the A-Main and $519 to start.
