Gregg Poised for Placerville Return

PETERSEN MEDIA: After taking last week off and having another break in the KWS schedule, Andy Gregg and his Bret Ervin Racing team are excited to head to their home track, Placerville Speedway, for two nights of exciting racing with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour, as the series invades the speedway for the first time ever.

The last time Gregg visited the Placerville Speedway, a brake malfunction on the 7Industries sprinter during heat race action relegated the Placerville, CA native to run the B-main for a final shot at the feature.

During the B main, Gregg fell victim to the leaders crashing each other, and was forced to make quick repairs to his Autism Awareness/Wheel Vintiques/Borello powered mount. With only a handful of laps reaming in the event, Gregg climbed from 13th to sixth, narrowly missing out on the transfer, and ending his night.

This weekend the stakes are even higher as the best in the business roll into town for what should be two hair raising nights of racing, for the inaugural running of the Bullring Nationals.

“I love racing Placerville, and this weekend with the National guys should be a lot of fun,” said Gregg. “I’m pumped for the huge crowd that’s going to be on hand, and to see how we race against these guys after racing against the best of California all year.”

Andy and his Bret Ervin Racing team would like to thank 7industries.com, Ervin Sales Group, Wheel Vintiques, College Cyclery, The Hot Rod Shop, Autism Awareness, Guts Racing, King Racing Products, BR Motorsports, Jiffy-Tite, C&R Racing, Eagle Chassis, Meyer Motorsports, Hinchman Racing, and Bell for their support as they follow the 2011 King of the West Series.
