Allard Aimed At Placerville

After two nights of hard fought action in Cottage Grove, OR against the highly coveted Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour, Jonathan Allard will again team up with Rod Fauver, and pilot Fauver’s No.64 this weekend at the high-banked Placerville Speedway for the inaugural running of the Bullring Nationals.

Last weekend in Oregon, the Chico, CA driver had an up and down weekend.

During opening night action on Friday, Allard gridded the 22-car field from the pole position based on the top-eight redraw. After leading the first lap, ASCS National driver, Johnny Hererra, was able to get around Allard, as the 2011 Dirt Cup Champion settled into the second position.

The promising run came to an early end as Allard was forced to pull of the track with just seven laps completed with mechanical gremlins.

Saturday night Allard again was plagued with bad luck early in the night, as he was forced to the sidelines early in his heat race forcing him to tag the back of the B, for any shot at transferring into the 35-lap feature.

In the B, JA came alive and ripped around the top of the ¼ mile bullring, as he charged his Rod Fauver prepared entry from the 15th spot, to a fourth place finish sending him to the 35-lap feature where he lined up in the 20th spot.

Things continued to roll JA’s way as he mythically carved his way through traffic using any and every inch of racetrack to work his way forward. When the checkered flag flew on the race, Allard found himself sitting in the 10th position.

“I’ve got to thank Rod for putting this deal together and giving me the opportunity to come race with these ASCS guys while I had some off time from the KWS schedule,” said Allard.

This weekend Allard is set for two nights at the very racy Placerville Speedway in Placerville, CA as the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour makes their debut at the high banked oval.

“Racing is always tight and exciting at Placerville,” explained JA. With all the ASCS guys there and a handful of the KWS guys in attendance this should be a really exciting night for us drivers and fans alike.”
