Late Thursday night the Wright Motorsports team got the Wright Process Systems/ A.R.T./ A D Landscaping Number 99 sprint car fine tuned and loaded up. Laughter and good thoughts were held by all involved.
"We have made some adjustments to the car these last two weeks and are expecting to have a good run" Said Shawn Wright.
Saturday will be Shawn's first time on California's famous half mile located in Calistoga California but not for his crew of Dennis Wright, Robert Mclane,and Matt Durica. All have previously worked on cars that have races on this tricky and dangerous half mile. The Performance Powdercoating/M.D. Motorsports/ BR Motorsports & Shock tuning/ Hixco racing machine will be on hand for round number eleven of the Civil War Sprint Car Series.
"This last couple of months have been really hard on the whole team. Between some bad crashes and some thieves we have overcome the bad luck, i hope" joked Shawn when being asked about his current standing in the series.
The Wright Motorsports following race will be the Taco Bravo series in Watsonville California on August the 19th. Hope you can all make it out and see the team in action sometime soon.
