Allard Ends Night Upside Down

PETERSEN MEDIA: What was shaping up to be a solid night for Jonathan Allard went away quick on the 26th lap as he hooked the cushion in turns three and four sending his Williams Motorsports No.0 upside down causing severe damage.

After timing in seventh quick of the 26 cars gathered at the track, Allard proceeded to win his heat race, transferring him into the dash.

JA pulled the three pill for the dash, and as the checkered flew on the six-lap affair, the Chico, CA native finished in the third spot, and lined him up third for the 30-lap feature.

The feature event saw Allard pressure second running, Tim Kaeding, as the early portion of the race was marred by cautions.

As the race finally got into rhythm, JA diced with Brent Kaeding, and Evan Suggs and actually fell back to sixth around the midway point.

Using a lap 22 double file restart to his advantage, Allard was able to grab the third spot, until trouble struck on the 26th circuit as he hooked the cushion and flipped hard.

“The car was really good tonight, and I just hate that we wrecked and caused a lot of work my the Zero Heroes tonight especially with us heading to Knoxville, IA after tomorrow race.”

ON TAP: Up next for JA and the Zero Heroes will be more King of the West action on Saturday night as the series invades Giant Chevrolet Kings Speedway in Hanford, CA.
