Creek County Opens 2021 Campaign With Roberts, Dean, Wilson, Knebel, And Traster Taking Wins

(March 27, 2021) Kicking off the 37th season of competition, Creek County Speedway’s Fast Five Weekly Series saw a combined field of 77 competitors on hand this past Saturday night with wins going to Darien Roberts, Brandon Dean, Scott Wilson, Wesley Knebel, and Lane Traster.

Winning from seventh with the DSO Champ/305 Sprint Cars, Broken Arrow’s Darien Roberts drew first-place points for his efforts. Charlie Crumpton crossed second with the night’s Hard Charger Award going to Johnny Kent, who rebounded from a DNF in his Heat Race. Gridding 21st, the No. 55 made it to third With Ty Hulsey and Dean Drake making up the top five.

Getting the win from fifth, Brandon Dean made it to Victory Lane with the York Plumbing Modifieds with Chad Davis following from seventh to second. Mike Duvall was third with Ho Dean and Ben Frey making up the top five.

Bringing 21 Tim Chainey Trucking Factory Stocks to the quarter-mile oval, Okemah’s Scott Wilson bested the stout field with Tracy Pierce in tow. Jeff Gerritson was third with Toby Cooper moving from 11th to fourth. Coweta’s Brian Hughes crossed fifth.

Looking to Mini Stocks, the win went to Wesley Knebel over sixth starting Blake Green. Justin Melton, Shawn Crowell, and Justin Traster made the top five.

Continuing to grow, the youngest competitors made up the Junior Mini-Stock field of six with Lane Traster proving to be the fastest. Kyle Armitage, Tyler Dean, Natalie Colby, Jacob O’Hara, and Lendsey McSperitt completed the field.

Creek County Speedway continues With the Randy Wheeler Memorial on Saturday, April 3 featuring DSO Champ 305 Sprints, York Plumbing Modifieds, Tim Chainey Trucking Factory Stocks, Mini Stocks, and Junior Mini Stocks.

Gates open at 5:00 P.M., Hot Laps are at 7:00 P.M., with racing at 7:30 P.M. (CDT). Admission is $10 for adults with youth 11-14 admitted for $6. Kids 10 and under get into the Grandstands free of charge. Creek County Speedway is located at 18450 West Hwy. 66, between Kellyville and Sapulpa. Take Exit 211 off I-44 to Route 66. The track is just beyond the Creek County Fairgrounds.
