by John Rittenoure - TULSA, Okla. (April 19, 2021) - The New Tulsa Speedway was scheduled to host the AmeriFlex / OCRS IMCA Sprint Cars on Friday, but the facility is still under construction forcing OCRS co-promoters Kerry Gorby and Terry Mattox to move the race.
Caney Valley Speedway will now be the site of Friday’s AmeriFlex / OCRS IMCA event. Racing starts at 8 p.m.
Through the first five events Casey Wills leads a points race that has seen five different winners, and none of them are in the top four in points. Wills, Zach Chappell, Danny Wood and Terry Easum hold down the top four spots and are still looking for their first win. Fifth place Joe Bob Lee is the first top 10 driver with a victory. 9th place Johnny Kent, 11th place Alex Sewell, Noah Harris and Steven Shebester join Lee on the list of winners.
Friday’s event is the first of three visits to the Kansas oval and will pay $1,000-to-win and $250-to-start.
