Hanford, CA – October 7, 2011…One of the most exciting sprint car drivers on the planet is scheduled to make an appearance next week at the 26th Cotton Classic in Hanford, with National Sprint Car Hall of Fame member Jac Haudenschild expected to be in action wheeling a car for Central Valley owners Dennis & Teresa Roth.

“The Wild Child” has claimed a number of major victories in his storied career including the Kings Royal, the Historical Big One, the Gold Cup Race of Champions, the Mopar Million and the Front Row Challenge among others.

Haudenschild also picked up a big win at the Kings Speedway in Hanford at the annual Trophy Cup in 2004, while driving for Roth Motorsports. During that weekend the Wooster, Ohio competitor passed a total of 34-cars and narrowly beat out Ronnie Day for the overall title.

At the Cotton Classic Haudenschild will be paired with Golden State King of the West 410 Sprint Car Series point leader Tim Kaeding, making for an electrifying team combination in the famed Roth Motorsports stable. The HR Cattle sponsored No. 83 machine already has a win this year at Giant Chevy Kings Speedway, when “TK” triumphed with KWS on August 6.

Going into the Cotton Classic Kaeding also maintains a hefty advantage in the standings, as he looks to wrap up the first California sprint car title for Dennis & Teresa Roth. The former Golden State 410 champ has won the three most recent King of the West races and will look to finish off the season with his seventh triumph of the year with the series.

“I’ve known Jac for a long time and it’s great that Dennis & Teresa Roth are bringing him back out to California,” said King of the West Operations Manager George Hague. “I don’t know if there are two more thrilling drivers in the country than Haud and TK, so to have them at a track like Hanford in 410’s will be a real pleasure. The fans definitely won’t want to miss the Cotton Classic.”

The night will also feature various special activities, with the Cotton Classic being the final show of the season for the KWS 410’s. It all starts at noon with a spaghetti feed in the patio area of the grandstands that will benefit breast cancer awareness. Opening ceremonies will also be a souped-up extravaganza, with the world championship Percheron 6up hitch, with teamster and KWS driver Danielle Simpson at the helm of the powerful six Percheron Draft horses.

“For any fans that haven’t been to one of our races we certainly hope they can make it out to celebrate the final event of our inaugural season,” said Hague. “We want to thank the Woodhouse Family for holding the spaghetti feed and then we have some special stuff planned for opening ceremonies with the 6up team and our full time drivers. We will also have a couple autograph sessions during the night, have our t-shirt shooter going and have some specials at the souvenir trailer among other things.”

Promoter Scott Woodhouse also paid a visit to Rio Vista this week and filmed an episode of “KWS Tonight” that can be seen at http://vimeo.com/30157494

Be sure to stay tuned at the end of the show for an audio clip with Bobby Gerould, speaking about “Carwash” Mike Avilla, which is a must listen.
