Rain Shortens Cowtown Crown Round One

Cody Morris, KENNEDALE,TX (10-8-2011) - Over 90 Lucas Oil American Small Car Series race teams were joined by nearly 50 local Cowtown modifieds and limited modifieds in dashing through the Saturday night completion of round one of the 2011 Cowtown Crown.

The slowly encroaching wall of water finally invaded Cowtown Speedway confines as Limited Modifieds kicked off main event action with the Lucas Oil ASCS2 Non Wing main event awaiting their turn in the staging area.

The $1,000 to win/$100 to start purse was doled out evenly among main event qualifiers in the Lucas Oil ASCS2 Outlaw and Non Wing divisions. The $500 to win $50 to start Lucas Oil ASCS2 Restricted purse suffered the same fate.

The 2011 Lucas Oil American Small Car Series campaign will draw to a close with a November 11th and 12th weekend finale also anointing the 2011 Cowtown Crown.

Details for this event will be released shortly.
