Loaded for Little Rock; Miranda Arnold Heads to Short Track Nationals
PETERSEN MEDIA- All eyes in the sprint car world will be directed to Little Rock, Arkansas as the Lucas Oil ASCS National Series invades the I 30-Speedway for the annual Short Track Nationals.
The last time Miranda Arnold and her Arnold Motorsports/Mid-Mo Auto Sales No.5m hit the track, she charged from the B, to a seventh place finish in the A at the Valley Speedway in Grain Valley, MO.
This weekend, Arnold will be going with the ‘whose who’ of the sport, and she is poised and ready for the challenge.
“Looking at the entry list is pretty overwhelming,” said Miranda. “The best of the best will be in Little Rock, and I’m excited to race against them, and watch them to help myself get better”.
This will be the Sedalia, MO native’s second trip to the Short Track Nationals, and her first trip is definitely one that she didn’t think about too long after.
“Last year was a rough year,” said Arnold. “There was some torn up equipment, so I’m hoping we can keep our nose clean and make a lot of laps this weekend.”
With over 100 cars expected this weekend, the field will be split up into two separate qualifying nights, with points setting the lineups for all of the features on Saturday night.
Arnold will run her qualifying heat races and feature event on Thursday night.
