Whittall caps important weekend with Selinsgrove National Open top-ten; Williams Grove National Open looms

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

VINCENTOWN, N.J. (September 27, 2021) - It was an important weekend to find speed, and that is exactly what Justin Whittall and JW Motorsports did.

Whittall, driver of the JG Kronenberger Fine Jewelry, Mid-Atlantic Transport, Brotherton Brewing Company, Beechwood Landscape Architecture and Construction LLC, Pioneer Auto Body, Worldwide Bearings, FK Rod Ends, Stilo Helmets, Keizer Aluminum Wheels, Enterprise, Ground Blind Boys, No. 67 sprint car, entered Williams Grove Speedway’s Outlaw tune up, as well as Selinsgrove Speedway’s Jim Nace Memorial National Open over the weekend, concluding the pair with back-to-back top-ten finishes, all of which highlighted with an eighth-place score in the $20,000-to-win National Open at Selinsgrove.

The eighth-place outcome was the product of row six, concluding the 40-lapper four spots higher than where he started. Incidentally, finishing eighth has been a recurring theme for Whittall, as the Vincentown, New Jersey-native finished eighth in Selinsgrove’s Jack Gunn Memorial on August 28.

Whittall opened his recent two-race campaign with a tenth-place outcome at Williams Grove Speedway on September 24. The former Williams Grove winner climbed six spots to secure the stat booster; a perfect test session for the upcoming National Open featuring the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series on Friday and Saturday, October 1-2. The 2021 Williams Grove Speedway National Open finale will award a $75,000 top prize.

“What a weekend for this team. We definitely needed that, especially with the World of Outlaws coming to town this week,” Justin Whittall explained. “Having that extra kick of confidence before the National Open will do wonders for us. It all starts with qualifying. That sets the tone for the entire evening, so we need to take advantage and capitalize. I’m ready to get started. It should be an exciting weekend.”

The two-day Williams Grove National Open will begin on Friday, October 1, with a $10,000-to-win preliminary bout, followed by the $75,000-to-win grand finale on Saturday, October 2.
