Inside Line Promotions – SEDALIA, Mo. (Oct. 5, 2021) – Gunner Ramey is in contention to secure a pair of sprint car championships this Saturday.
The Terry Doogs Racing driver leads the ASCS Warrior Region and Lake Ozark Speedway championship standings entering the season finale for both the series as well as the dirt track in Eldon, Mo.
“Terry has won the ASCS Warrior Region so many times,” Ramey said. “It’d be cool to get another one for him. We’ve been pretty consistent lately and had a lot of good runs. With the podiums and top fives we’ve been able to take the lead. Hopefully we can lock them both up.”
Ramey holds a 24-point lead in the ASCS Warrior Region standings thanks to a trio of top 10s. A pair of top fives has led to a 50-point advantage in the track standings.
“It’d be perfect if we would win the race and then lock up both titles,” he said. “Obviously you want to win and that’d be a perfect scenario to get my first win, but at the same time if we finish good we’ll be all right.”
Ramey’s best outing at the track is a runner-up result, which occurred on Aug. 21.
