A Night At The Track To Truly Forget!

With all racers fingers crossed that Mother Nature would bypass Perris Auto Speedway Saturday night October 23rd, 24 teams signed in to row their 410 sprint cars sideways.
When qualifying was said and done, Austin, aboard the 92 Moose Racing non wing sprinter would ring in 2nd quick, just barely missing quick time.
Heat races saw 8 cars line up side by side to vie for the top 4 postions to claim a direct transfer to the 30 laps Main Event. Well, when the 2 cars on the front row, thank that they can win the race before the green flag is even thrown, it can cause mayhem for the other 6 cars, and that is exactly what happened. Austin with no time to react, was slammed so hard that every part from the firewall back was damaged beyond repair. The amazing Moose Crew, a group to never say quit, thrashed and in record time replaced rear end, driveshaft, bikes, arms, bars, wheels/tires, nerf bars and who know what else. All of this was completed and the 92 Moose Car was presented on the font straightway in time for the autograph session prior to drivers introduction.
Not finishing the heat race in the tp 4 ( actually, not finishing at all ) Austin's 2nd quick time was negated and the best he could start the main event was 7th. With so much work being done to the car, everyone held their breath as Austin set the car in the turns the 1st few laps, would it react and handle to his liking?? Guess so, as with elbows up he picked off cars 1 by 1. By lap 20 of 30, he was running 3rd sticking gaining on the 2nd place car when up and over he went. There was speculation amongst fans that something had broken, after watching the replay many times, it appears he changed his one a bit and was at a place not he track that was holding way more moisture and was extremely tacky, the right area tire dug in and off it went. Although very shaken and "cross-eyed" Austin was ok .., although he would sure be feeling the after effects on Sunday.
This Moose Crew will Never Say Never!! Back at basically building another car 2 times in 1 night -- Jim, Rich, Paul, Gary, Dan, RC & Logan are the best!!!
Going on board fr at this point a 1 race marketing opportunity was GETLUCASOILCOM. A chance for anyone who is looking to purchase Lucas Racing Oil, can call Lucas Oil Centers in Evansville, Indiana and have oil dropped shipped right to their door. Huntington Beach Glass & MIrror, Phil & Eileen King, Specialized Powder Coating, Freeway Auto Supply, do so much for this team and they are so greatly appreciated.
The team has it's eyes set on the upcoming 3 day event at Perris Auto Speedway,The Oval National's!!!
