POWRi Champion Caleb Saiz to Enter Chili Bowl with Cory Kruseman Racing

Belleville, IL (12/16/2021) Fresh off wrapping up a third Lucas Oil POWRi New Mexico Motor Racing Association Non-Wing Sprint Championship, top-tier wheelman Caleb Saiz will set his sights on conquering another form of open-wheel excitement by joining the ranks Chili Bowl of contenders.

David Burns, Hal Burns Truck RV and Equipment, Darns Racing, NAPA Auto Parts Albuquerque, Weise (NAPA) Santa Fe Auto Supply, New Mexico Motorsports Report, Pro Body, FK Rod Ends, and Performance Plus Racing Engines are proud to announce Caleb Saiz will be driving the number 21k midget for the Cory Kruseman Racing team in the 36th Annual Chili Bowl Nationals in Tulsa, Oklahoma in January. Additionally at the event, the car will be sponsored by Cory Kruseman Driving School, Bullet Chassis, Esslinger Racing Engine, Channel Island Flooring, and Lucas Oil.

As a rising star in sprint car racing Saiz will now work to expand his repertoire of successes as he makes his first midget start in one of the nation’s biggest indoor events. “I would like to thank Cory Kruseman for this terrific opportunity to drive his car at the Chili Bowl,” said Saiz.

Supporting a highly active and successful season in 2021 Saiz would compete in the POWRi Super Sprints, the POWRi Desert Wing Sprints, and the POWRi NMMRA Sprint Car Series action at Sandia Speedway, Vado Speedway, Aztec Speedway, along with select shows in Arizona and California. Saiz collected three wins with fourteen top-fives in non-wing competition, two wins in the wing-360 at Sandia, one 305-Sprint win at Vado Speedway Park as well as also entering a Cory Kruseman sprint car at Ventura Raceway, in Ventura, California, collecting a win on the 25th of September.
